Between 19.10.2026 and 25.10.2026 supervisory authorities published 8 alerts concerning product safety in Poland. This week's notices comprise four recalls and four notifications or holds. The most serious hazards involve Listeria monocytogenes in products from batch 11061, a risk of overheating and ignition of a battery in an electric assist for kayaks and SUP boards, and a choking risk for young children from a educational picture book.
According to the GIS notice of 19.10.2026, Listeria monocytogenes was detected in three of five samples from batch 11061. As reported by UOKiK, warnings were also published this week for OCOOPA hand warmers and a children's book. The GIF decision on the VAMFOLI preparation is also significant, as intact vials show visible foreign particles. The notice on frozen raspberries carries the lowest risk level. The overview, health analysis and practical advice follow below.
Wycofania z obrotu
| Product | Store | Decision type | Hazard | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Electric assist for kayak/SUP and battery | Decathlon | Store notice | Water ingress, overheating, risk of fire and explosion | Critical |

| Mexican salami 250 g (batch 11061) | No data | GIS notice | Listeria monocytogenes | Critical |
The four withdrawn products comprise three Bell Polska items from batch 11061 and one Decathlon electric assist. Recalled products from batch 11061 must not be sold, and consumers should return them to the point of purchase.

Analiza zagrożeń zdrowotnych
Listeriosis caused by Listeria monocytogenes is rare but serious. The bacterium survives refrigeration, which makes ready-to-eat products such as cured meats particularly risky. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, nausea and diarrhoea, and in severe cases meningitis or sepsis. Pregnant women, newborns, older people and those with weakened immunity are most at risk. The incubation period can range from a few days to several weeks.
Lithium-ion batteries, as in the Decathlon and OCOOPA products, can undergo thermal runaway after water exposure or damage. Temperature rises rapidly, leading to fire, release of hot gases and burns. Users handling the device during charging are also at risk.
A detached element from the children's book poses a choking hazard, especially for children under three who put small objects in their mouths. Obstructed airways can quickly lead to hypoxia.
Particles in an injectable solution may enter the bloodstream directly and cause emboli or inflammatory reactions. The risk is particularly relevant for oncology patients who receive leucovorin after methotrexate therapy. Mould in frozen raspberries is non-pathogenic, but it indicates storage conditions were not met and it should not be present in food.
Sklepy i instytucje objęte komunikatami
Of the eight alerts, only one names a specific retailer: Decathlon, for the kayak and SUP electric assist. Among the four recalls, one retailer is named, together with one manufacturer, Bell Polska Sp. z o.o. from Niepołomice, whose three batch 11061 products are covered by the GIS notice. Among the four notifications, no sales outlet is given. Consumers should check labels, batch numbers and point-of-sale information, and contact the manufacturer's customer service if in doubt.
Porady dla konsumentów
- Salami musli, salami with pepper and Mexican salami 250 g from batch 11061 should be discarded or returned to the shop and must not be eaten, even after heating.
- For the Decathlon electric assist, do not charge or use a battery that has been in contact with water. Store it in a non-flammable place and contact the store.
- Take the children's book away from the child before the element detaches, and report the problem to the manufacturer.
- Stop using OCOOPA hand warmers, including models UT3201, UT3053 and UT4102, and do not charge them unattended. Check the full model list in the UOKiK notice.
- VAMFOLI vials are intended for medical use. Patients should not use a preparation with visible particles, and the prescribing doctor or pharmacist should be informed about batches BLPI2421YD and BLPI2511YC.
A refund requires keeping the receipt or proof of purchase. The seller should accept a defective product under statutory warranty, while for market withdrawals a refund or exchange depends on the store and the manufacturer's procedure.
If you have eaten a product from batch 11061 and develop fever, muscle aches or nausea, contact a doctor and tell them about the consumption of cured meat. Pregnant women should seek medical advice promptly. If a child has swallowed a part of the book and has breathing difficulties, call the emergency number 112 immediately.
