Non-compliance with quality requirements was found: too low benzocaine content, exceeding acceptable limits of related substances (including a single unknown impurity), and excessive tablet crumbling in the friability test. Potential effects: reduced treatment efficacy, possible undefined toxicological risk, difficulties in taking crumbled tablets.

Do not eat or use the product
Stop using or consuming it immediately and keep it out of reach of children.
Check the batch number and expiry date
Compare the batch/lot number and the best-before or expiry date with the details in the alert — sometimes only specific batches are affected.
Return it to the shop
You can take the product back to the shop where you bought it. For a safety recall a refund is due even without a receipt.
Get help and report it
If you feel unwell after using the product, contact a doctor. You can also report the case to the relevant authority — GIS, GIF or UOKiK.

Important Information
Do not use Faringan from any batch. Check any packs you have and return them to a pharmacy. In case of doubts or adverse effects, contact a doctor or pharmacist.
Withdrawal of all batches of Faringan from the market throughout the country and prohibition of placing it on the market; the decision was given immediate enforceability.
