In the period 15.06.2026 - 21.06.2026 the Polish authorities published 17 alerts concerning food safety, medicines and consumer products. According to notices from GIS, GIF and UOKiK, the most serious issues involved Listeria monocytogenes in ready-to-eat ham and grated cheese sold in Carrefour stores, Salmonella detected in chicken fillets and contamination problems in several injectable medicines.
GIS alerts and GIF notices were complemented by UOKiK warnings and notifications from the EU RASFF and Safety Gate systems. The focus was not only on food withdrawals, but also on unsafe toys, rear child bicycle seats and outdoor shoes with excessive PFAS levels. GIS warns consumers not to eat products from batch 1000-153 of PG ham and the specified MC grated cheese batches because of the risk of Listeria monocytogenes infection.
Najważniejsze informacje
- 6 alerts relate to food safety, including 3 serious microbiological hazards (Listeria, Salmonella) and exceedances of pesticide and acrylamide levels.
- 4 GIF notices concern suspension of all batches of Levosimendan Farmak, Teicoplanin AptaPharma (200 mg and 400 mg) and Azaneson due to contamination and quality non-compliance.
- 7 UOKiK warnings and Safety Gate notifications relate to toys, childcare articles, footwear with elevated PFAS and pens with excessive aluminium migration.
- Food safety and the safety of everyday products remain crucial – in some cases immediate return of the product is advised, in others health monitoring and medical consultation are recommended.

Wyróżnione komunikaty
PG SZYNKA GOTOWANA W PLASTRACH 100 g
Zagrożenie: According to GIS, batch 1000-153 of this product was found to contain Listeria monocytogenes. As a ready-to-eat meat product, it can cause serious infection especially in the elderly, pregnant women and immunocompromised people.
Sklep: Carrefour | EAN: 5905784311098 | Producent: FARMY ROZTOCZA SP. Z O.O.
MC Ser twardy tarty 40 g
Zagrożenie: GIS confirmed Listeria monocytogenes in batches 04835/26 and 04834/26. The cheese is often consumed without heating, which increases infection risk. Symptoms of listeriosis include fever, muscle pain, diarrhoea and, in severe cases, meningitis.
Sklep: Carrefour | EAN: 5905784309415 | Producent: TMT Sp. z o.o.
Levosimendan Farmak 2.5 mg/ml
Zagrożenie: GIF reports that all batches of the concentrate for solution for infusion contain visible particles and do not comply with quality requirements. Intravenous administration of such a product may lead to emboli, vessel damage and circulatory complications. GIF has suspended the marketing of all batches of Levosimendan Farmak 2.5 mg/ml.
Sklep: not applicable (medicinal product) | EAN: 05907637916160 | Producent: Farmak International Sp. z o.o.
Buty outdoorowe ADVENTURIDGE (Aldi)
Zagrożenie: As UOKiK reports, the black Adventuridge outdoor shoes contain PFAS levels above the permitted limit. These persistent chemicals accumulate in the body and long-term contact may lead to chronic exposure and possible toxic effects.
Sklep: Aldi | EAN: 4068706766251–4068706766329 | Producent: WÜNSCHE FASHION GMBH & CO. KG
Długopisy z końcówkami filcowymi RAWMARK
Zagrożenie: The Safety Gate notification indicates very high aluminium migration from these pens (up to 2724 mg/kg). Aluminium is toxic to children if ingested and long-term exposure may damage the nervous system.

Analiza zagrożeń zdrowotnych
This week, food safety risks were dominated by Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella. Listeria multiplies well in chilled foods such as cold cuts and cheese and may cause severe systemic infections, miscarriages and neonatal infections. Salmonella in chicken fillets leads to acute food poisoning with diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever and dehydration, which is particularly dangerous for young children and the elderly.
Other GIS alerts on food safety involve residues of the pesticide oxamyl in frozen strawberries and an elevated acrylamide level in biscuits. Under EU law, maximum residue levels for pesticides are set to minimise long-term effects, including nervous system disorders. Acrylamide is formed during high-temperature processing of starchy foods and long-term high intake may increase cancer risk and adversely affect the nervous system.
GIF notices focus on parenteral medicines. Visible particles in Levosimendan Farmak and Teicoplanin AptaPharma solutions mean a risk of vascular emboli, inflammatory reactions and unsafe therapy. In the case of Azaneson nasal spray, chromatographic purity non-compliance may affect efficacy and adverse-effect profile of this allergy medicine.
UOKiK warnings and Safety Gate notifications mostly relate to mechanical and chemical hazards. Design flaws in children's sleeping bags and bicycle seats may lead to suffocation or serious injuries, while toys with small parts and long cords pose choking and strangulation risks. Footwear with excessive PFAS and pens with high aluminium content expose users to potentially toxic chemicals through chronic, low-level contact.

Among retail chains, Carrefour and Aldi were most affected. Carrefour reported two food withdrawals due to Listeria monocytogenes (PG ham and MC grated cheese), while Aldi was covered by a UOKiK warning concerning Adventuridge outdoor shoes with excessive PFAS. The TEDi chain received a warning about beach balls with detachable small parts.
A significant share of the alerts originates from EU surveillance systems: RASFF for food and Safety Gate for toys and consumer products. According to GIS, these mechanisms allow rapid identification of threats to food safety and product safety across the EU. GIF supervises medicinal product quality, and UOKiK is responsible for consumer product safety warnings.
Consumers should monitor current GIS alerts, GIF notices and UOKiK warnings via official websites and retailer communications. In case of doubt, they can contact store hotlines or local sanitary inspectorates for clarification.
Porady dla konsumentów
If you have any of the products described, first verify the name, EAN code and batch number. For food subject to official withdrawal, such as PG ham batch 1000-153 or MC grated cheese batches 04835/26 and 04834/26, do not eat it, even after heating. Secure the product and return it to the store; under Polish law you are entitled to a refund even without a receipt.
People who may have eaten food potentially contaminated with Listeria or Salmonella should monitor their health for several days. If fever, severe abdominal pain, diarrhoea or vomiting occur, they should seek medical advice and, in severe cases, emergency care. Pregnant women, the elderly and immunocompromised people should act particularly quickly.
For medicines covered by GIF decisions, treatment should not be stopped independently, especially for serious infections or heart failure. Patients should contact their doctor or pharmacy to discuss alternative therapies. UOKiK reminds parents to stop using Bottari child bicycle seats from batch 03/2024 and Bocioland sleeping bags immediately, and to remove the listed toys and pens from children's use.
Kontekst prawny
The EU framework for food and product safety is based, among others, on Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 laying down the general principles of food law and on the rapid alert systems RASFF and Safety Gate. In Poland, GIS is responsible for food, GIF for medicinal products and UOKiK for consumer product safety. GIS alerts and GIF notices are binding for businesses and may result in mandatory product withdrawal or suspension of marketing.
In practice, withdrawn products must be removed from shelves and consumers informed about refund options. Suspension of marketing, as in the medicines described, means a ban on further distribution and use until investigations are completed. Consumers have the right to safe products and full information about risks, as guaranteed by both national law and EU consumer protection directives.
