Raw hazelnuts

Samples of raw hazelnuts showed aflatoxin B1 at 24.2±7 µg/kg compared with a legal limit of 5 µg/kg, and total aflatoxins at 29.1±8.4 µg/kg compared with a legal limit of 10 µg/kg, representing a significant exceedance of safety limits for these mycotoxins. Potential effects: increased risk of liver damage, carcinogenic effects with long-term exposure, and particular concern for children, pregnant women and people with liver disease.

Raw sausage metka

Listeria monocytogenes was detected in 2 out of 5 samples per 25 g of raw sausage (metka), although the safety requirement is absence in 25 g, indicating unacceptable contamination of the food. Potential effects: severe food poisoning, fever, diarrhoea, muscle pain, in pregnant women risk of miscarriage or premature birth, and in elderly or immunocompromised people possible meningitis and sepsis.

Raisins

In a batch of raisins, ochratoxin A was found at a level of 21.0 ± 2.7 µg/kg, exceeding the maximum permitted level of 8.0 µg/kg. Potential effects: long-term exposure may increase the risk of kidney damage, immune system disturbances and, at higher exposure, carcinogenic effects.

Arizona Original Green Tea with Honey 450 ml

In several bottles of the drink, organoleptic irregularities were found: colourless appearance, chemical odour and burning, bitter taste, which may indicate product contamination. Potential effects: possible irritation of the gastrointestinal tract or other symptoms of poisoning after consuming the drink.

Metka łososiowa raw sausage

The product was found to contain the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes in one of five samples of metka łososiowa, which can lead to listeriosis. Potential effects: food poisoning and listeriosis, which may cause severe complications, especially in high-risk groups.

Brunswick mett raw sausage

Samples of the product were found to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, which may cause listeriosis, especially in vulnerable consumers. Potential effects: infection (listeriosis), possible severe complications and life-threatening course in susceptible individuals.

Raw metka sausage

Listeria monocytogenes was detected in the raw metka sausage in 1 of 5 samples per 25 g; the presence of Listeria monocytogenes is not allowed, as this type of product must be completely free from it. Potential effects: severe infection (listeriosis) with fever, diarrhoea and muscle pain, and in pregnant women, the elderly and immunocompromised people, risk of miscarriage, sepsis and meningitis.

Presence of Listeria monocytogenes was detected in 5 out of 5 samples of the product, indicating contamination and a risk of listeriosis in consumers. Potential effects: food poisoning, listeriosis, complications particularly dangerous for pregnant women, the elderly and immunocompromised individuals.

KOKOS crunchy flakes LEO good foods

An excessive level of sulphur dioxide derivatives was found and the allergen sulphur dioxide was not highlighted on the label. Consumption by people allergic to sulphites may trigger an allergic reaction. Potential effects: allergic reactions of varying severity in people sensitive to sulphites.

PG cooked ham slices 100 g

A microbiological non-compliance was found – presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the specified product batch. Potential effects: Infection with Listeria monocytogenes, gastrointestinal symptoms, fever, risk of severe course in pregnant women, the elderly and immunocompromised persons.

Possible presence of an undeclared allergen - cashew nuts - in the protein ice cream, posing a risk for people allergic to cashew nuts. Potencjalne skutki: allergic reaction of varying severity, up to severe anaphylactic reaction.

Tea drink

The tea drink was found to have a chemical smell and taste, meaning its organoleptic characteristics are unsuitable for consumption. Potential effects: unpleasant taste and odour, possible irritation of the mouth and digestive tract, nausea or vomiting in sensitive individuals.

Fresh pears

Samples of pears contained residues of the plant protection product glufosinate at a level of 0.28 ± 0.14 mg/kg, exceeding the maximum permitted level of 0.1 mg/kg. Potential effects: prolonged or high exposure may affect the nervous system, cause headaches and dizziness, irritate the digestive tract and put additional strain on the liver.

Blue poppy seeds Bakaliowy Targ 500 g

Official control found an exceedance of the maximum permitted level of opium alkaloids in blue poppy seeds from batch P-5849/01, creating a health risk for consumers. Potential effects: symptoms of poisoning, drowsiness, impaired consciousness, other central nervous system complaints.

Perchlorate was found in the green tea at a level of 1.213±0.182 mg/kg, exceeding the permitted limit of 0.75 mg/kg. Potential effects: impaired thyroid function, especially in infants, children and people with thyroid disorders, and possible reduced iodine uptake by the body.
