Chicken quarters
Salmonella was detected in the chicken quarters: it was found in 4 out of 5 samples, although the requirement is its absence in 25 g of product (permitted level: absent/25 g). Potential effects: diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, vomiting, and more severe illness in young children, elderly people, pregnant women and those with weakened immune systems.
Chicken breast cutlets
Fresh chicken breast fillet cutlets were found to contain Salmonella group C2, detected as "present in 25 g" in 5 out of 5 samples, despite the zero-tolerance requirement for Salmonella in 25 g of the product. Potential effects: acute diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting, dehydration, and in vulnerable individuals a risk of more severe infection.
Dietary supplement Verdin Fix Composition of 6 herbs, 20 sachets (36 g)
Official control detected Salmonella spp. bacteria in one of five samples of this dietary supplement, which may pose a health risk to consumers, especially if Salmonella is transferred to other surfaces. Potential effects: food poisoning, gastrointestinal infection.

Salmonella Enteritidis was detected in 25 g of the chicken hindquarters, even though its presence is completely unacceptable in this type of food. Frozen poultry kebab
Salmonella was detected in all 5 tested samples of frozen poultry kebab in 25 g of product, even though Salmonella must be completely absent from this amount of food under EU law. Potential effects: acute diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting, dehydration, and more severe illness in people with weakened immune systems.
Minced poultry meat
Salmonella Enteritidis was detected in 2 out of 5 tested samples of chicken neck skin, even though its presence in 25 g of the product is not allowed under EU food law. Potential effects: acute diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, vomiting and dehydration, with higher risk of severe illness in young children, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems.
Chicken breast fillet
Salmonella Enteritidis was detected in 1 out of 5 samples of chilled chicken breast fillet in 25 g of product, despite the zero-tolerance requirement (limit 0/25 g). Potential effects: diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, vomiting, dehydration, and in severe cases sepsis and life-threatening complications in vulnerable individuals.
Minced meat and poultry products
Salmonella was detected in the raw material used to produce minced meat and raw poultry meat products in 1 out of 5 tested samples, while the legal requirement is absence in 25 g. This means a non-permitted presence in this type of product. Potential effects: acute diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever, vomiting, dehydration, and in young children, elderly people and immunocompromised persons, a risk of severe infection and hospitalization.
Melissa leaf, Kawon, 50 g
Official control detected the presence of Salmonella spp. in one of five samples of melissa leaves from the specified product batch, which may pose a health risk to consumers. Potential effects: food poisoning, Salmonella infection, gastrointestinal symptoms.
Chicken thighs
Salmonella was detected in chicken thighs: serogroup O:8 (C2–C3) in 4 out of 5 samples and serogroup O:7 (C1) in 1 out of 5 samples, even though its presence is completely unacceptable in 25 g of product. Potential effects: diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, vomiting, dehydration and, in young children, elderly people and immunocompromised individuals, a risk of severe infection and hospitalisation.
Kebab from chicken thighs, deep-frozen product, 8 kg
The product is withdrawn due to the presence of Salmonella Infantis bacteria in 5 samples per 25 g of the product. Potential effects: foodborne infection, diarrhoea, fever.

Beef tartare Kraina Mięs, 200 g
Salmonella bacteria were detected in samples of the beef tartare, indicating microbiological contamination of the product and a risk of developing foodborne infection after consumption. Potential effects: food poisoning, diarrhea, vomiting, fever, intestinal complications.
