All affected products
White grapes
White grapes were found to contain the pesticide chlorpyrifos at 0.034 ± 0.017 mg/kg, exceeding the maximum residue limit of 0.01 mg/kg. Potential effects: possible headache and dizziness, nausea and vomiting, muscle weakness, breathing difficulties at higher exposure, and with long-term exposure, effects on the nervous system.
Green tea
Multiple pesticide residues were found in the green tea at levels exceeding legal limits: acetamiprid at 0.21±011 mg/kg versus an MRL of 0.05 mg/kg, benomyl/carbendazim 0.70±0.35 mg/kg versus 0.1 mg/kg, clothianidin 0.16±0.08 mg/kg versus 0.05 mg/kg, dinotefuran 0.067±0.034 mg/kg versus 0.01 mg/kg, lufenuron 0.29±0.15 mg/kg versus 0.05 mg/kg, tebuconazole 0.25±0.13 mg/kg versus 0.05 mg/kg, and tolfenpyrad 0.20±0.10 mg/kg versus 0.01 mg/kg. Potential effects: long-term exposure to elevated pesticide residues may increase the risk of hormonal disruption, nervous system problems, liver and kidney damage, and may contribute to cancer development.
Fresh kale
The kale contained residues of the pesticide flonicamid at a level of 1.3 mg/kg, exceeding the maximum allowed limit of 0.5 mg/kg. Potential effects: gastrointestinal irritation, headaches, dizziness, and in extreme cases more severe poisoning symptoms with long-term consumption of products containing elevated levels of this pesticide.
Bunch kale
Residues of flonicamid were found in the kale at a level of 1.6 ± 0.8 mg/kg, exceeding the maximum residue limit (MRL) of 0.5 mg/kg. Potential effects: irritation of the digestive system, headaches, dizziness at higher exposure, general malaise; long-term excessive exposure to pesticides may adversely affect the nervous system and liver.
Peeled sesame seeds
Peeled sesame seeds from India were found to contain residues of the pesticide haloxyfop at 0.022±0.011 mg/kg and 0.024±0.012 mg/kg, exceeding the maximum residue level of 0.01 mg/kg. Potential effects: irritation of the digestive tract with abdominal pain and nausea after high intake of contaminated product, possible toxic effects on the liver with long-term exposure, and increased risk of adverse effects on the developing fetus in pregnant women.
Withania Somnifera Ashwagandha cut root
An exceedance of the maximum permitted level of the pesticide chlorpyrifos was found in the Ashwagandha product, which according to risk assessment may potentially pose a health risk to consumers. Potencjalne skutki: poisoning, neurotoxic effects, other adverse health effects.
Withania Somnifera Ashwagandha – capsules
An exceedance of the maximum permitted level of the pesticide chlorpyrifos (0.09 mg/kg) was found in Ashwagandha capsules, which may potentially pose a health risk to consumers according to NIPH-NIH risk assessments. Potencjalne skutki: poisoning, neurotoxic effects, other adverse health effects.
Mother’s Protect Ahwagandha live herbs food supplement, 50 ml
Residues of the pesticide chlorpyrifos were detected in the product, which may expose consumers to the harmful effects of this substance. Potential effects: poisoning, neurotoxic effects, other acute or chronic symptoms.
Dried marjoram
Dried marjoram was found to contain residues of the pesticide chlorpyrifos at a level of 0.236 mg/kg, and this substance is not authorised for use in food within the European Union. Potential effects: possible headache and dizziness, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea, and at higher exposure disturbances of the nervous and respiratory systems.
Basmati rice
In the basmati rice, residues of the pesticide chlorpyrifos were found at about 0.006–0.007 mg/kg, exceeding the maximum permitted level of 0.0007 mg/kg. Potential effects: possible nervous system disturbances, headaches and dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and in severe cases breathing difficulties.
Quinoa
Quinoa was found to contain chlorpyrifos pesticide residues at 0.044 ± 0.023 mg/kg, exceeding the maximum residue limit of 0.01 mg/kg. Potential effects: headache and dizziness, nausea and vomiting, weakness, and at higher exposure neurological disorders.
Ahwagandha live herbs dietary supplement, 50 ml
The product was found to exceed the maximum permitted level of the pesticide chlorpyrifos. Due to its toxicological properties, any level exceeding the MRL may potentially pose a risk to consumer health. Potencjalne skutki: possible toxic effects, health disturbances, chemical poisoning.
Quinoa 1 kg
The product is withdrawn due to exceeding the permitted level of pesticides in the affected batch, indicating chemical contamination of food that may be harmful to consumer health. Potencjalne skutki: possible acute or chronic poisoning, negative impact on health.
Shelled walnuts BAKADELIO, 100 g
An exceedance of the maximum residue level of the pesticide tetramethrin was found in walnuts. The use of tetramethrin-containing plant protection products is illegal in the EU and toxicological data are insufficient to fully assess the risk. Potential effects: possible toxic effects, chemical poisoning, other unspecified health risks.
Shelled walnuts Bakaliowy Targ, 200 g
An exceedance of the maximum residue level of the pesticide tetramethrin was found in the walnuts. Use of tetramethrin in plant protection products is illegal in the EU and its presence above MRL is unacceptable. Potential effects: possible unknown toxic effects, risk to consumer health.
Black Leaf Tea, 100 g
An official inspection found that the maximum permitted level of the pesticide anthraquinone was exceeded; consumption of this batch may pose a risk to consumers' health. Potential effects: chemical poisoning, toxic effects, health problems with regular consumption.
Lemons (loose) – origin Turkey
Exceeded MRL of etoxazole (pesticide residue) in the product. Potential effects: poisoning or adverse health effects after consumption.
Millet flour, packages 1 kg, 5 kg and 25 kg
It was found that the maximum permitted level of the pesticide residue chlorpyrifos in millet flour was exceeded; any level above the MRL may potentially pose a health risk to consumers. Potencjalne skutki: poisoning, adverse health effects, complications.
Pineapple variety extra sweet, country of origin Costa Rica
Residues of the pesticide propiconazole were detected at a level exceeding the maximum permitted limit in the food product. Potencjalne skutki: Possible acute or chronic toxic effects after consumption.

An exceedance of the maximum permissible level of chlorpyrifos pesticide residues was found in the beans. Any level above the MRL may potentially pose a health risk to consumers. Potential effects: chemical poisoning, neurotoxic effects.
