Smoked chicken quarter

Listeria monocytogenes was detected in one of five product samples. Consuming food contaminated with this bacterium can cause listeriosis. Potential effects: listeriosis.

Buckwheat grain

Thiamethoxam was detected at 0.026±0.013 mg/kg, exceeding the permitted limit of 0.01 mg/kg. Potential effects: high exposure may cause nausea, vomiting, headache and dizziness.

Food supplement

Green tea

The green tea contained chlorpyrifos at 0.022 ± 0.011 mg/kg (ppm), dinotefuran at 0.11 ± 0.06 mg/kg (ppm), lambda-cyhalothrin at 0.083 ± 0.042 mg/kg (ppm), and tolfenpyrad at 0.14 ± 0.07 mg/kg (ppm). All levels exceeded the maximum residue level of 0.01 mg/kg (ppm). Potential effects: nausea, headache, dizziness and neurological disturbances.

Black tea

Pyrrolizidine alkaloids were detected at 352 ± 123 µg/kg (ppb), exceeding the maximum permitted level of 150 µg/kg (ppb). Potential effects: pyrrolizidine alkaloids may damage the liver, while long-term exposure may increase the risk of cancer.

Fresh halal chicken

The notification concerns the detection of Salmonella Infantis in fresh poultry meat. The applicable criterion is “not detected in 25 g”, and the presence of this pathogen in food is not permitted. Potential effects: salmonellosis, diarrhoea, fever, abdominal pain and vomiting.

Carrefour Extra dried beef

A microbiological non-compliance was identified – the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the specified product batch. Potential effects: listeriosis.

Black sesame seeds

Salmonella was detected in the black sesame seeds. The requirement is absence of Salmonella in 25 g of product. Potential effects: salmonellosis, diarrhoea, fever, abdominal pain and vomiting.

Poultry meat

Salmonella Typhimurium was detected in 5 out of 5 samples in the tested 25 g portion; according to the stated criterion, Salmonella should not be detected in 25 g. The presence of Salmonella Typhimurium in food is not permitted. Potential effects: salmonellosis, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting.

Nick’s Choco Crush 32 g

Peanut protein was found in the affected batch, although peanuts are not an ingredient of the product. The product may pose a risk to people with a peanut allergy. Potential effects: allergic reaction, including anaphylaxis.

Nettle herbal tea

Pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which are natural toxins, were detected in the herbal tea at 3681 µg/kg, exceeding the permitted limit. Potential effects: liver damage and carcinogenic effects.

Deep-frozen grade B duck leg

Presence of Salmonella Enteritidis. Potential effects: food poisoning.

Super Enzymes

Sunflower seeds in shells

Samples contained biphenyl at 0.044 ± 0.022 mg/kg, chlorpyrifos at 17.6 ± 8.8 mg/kg, fludioxonil at 0.34 ± 0.17 mg/kg and sulfotep at 0.022 ± 0.011 mg/kg. All levels exceeded the maximum residue limit of 0.01 mg/kg; chlorpyrifos and sulfotep are unauthorised substances. Potential effects: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dizziness and neurological disorders.

Nettle herbal tea Zielnik Polski

The maximum permitted level of pyrrolizidine alkaloids was exceeded. Consumption of the specified batch may pose a significant health risk to consumers. Potential effects: adverse health effects after consumption.

Food product

Smoked Gałka cheese

Listeria monocytogenes was detected in the product. Consuming food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may lead to listeriosis. Potential effects: listeriosis and illness symptoms.

Paturages Comtois Brie 1 kg

Possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes in Brie-type cheeses. Potential effects: listeriosis and illness symptoms.

Matcha tea

Matcha tea contained acetamiprid at 0.17±0.09 mg/kg (ppm), dinotefuran at 0.37±0.19 mg/kg (ppm), hexaconazole at 0.16±0.08 mg/kg (ppm) and thiamethoxam at 0.42±0.21 mg/kg (ppm). These levels exceeded the maximum permitted limits of 0.05, 0.01, 0.05 and 0.05 mg/kg (ppm), respectively; hexaconazole is an unauthorised substance. Potential effects: nausea, vomiting, dizziness and headache following exposure to elevated pesticide levels.

Frozen three-colour peppers

Exceeding the maximum permitted levels of pesticide residues: dinotefuran, iprodion, isoprocarb, procymidon, profenofos, tolfenpyrad and thiamethoxam. Potential effects: possible symptoms of pesticide poisoning.
